Township Administrator  – VACANCY

Colerain Township, Ohio, (population 58,000) is seeking candidates for the position of Township Administrator.

The township administrator shall, under the direction of the board of township trustees:

  1.  (A) Assist in the administration, enforcement, and execution of the policies and resolutions of the board;
  2.  (B) Supervise and direct the activities of the affairs of the divisions of township government under the control or jurisdiction of the board;
  3.  (C) Attend all meetings of the board at which his/her attendance is required by that body;
  4.  (D) Recommend measures for adoption to the board;
  5.  (E) Prepare and submit to the board such reports as are required by that body, or as he or she considers advisable;
  6.  (F) Keep the board fully advised on the financial conditions of the township, preparing and submitting a budget for the next fiscal year;
  7.  (G) Perform such additional duties as the board may determine by resolution.

Compensation will depend on qualifications.

Volunteer Board Opportunities

The Colerain Township Trustees are looking for interested citizens who want to have an impact on the future development of the Township.  The Colerain Zoning Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals are volunteer boards which expire a regular and an alternate member term each year.  At the end of each year, it is the Planning & Zoning Staff’s goal to assess interested applicants for possible new members.  Interested Colerain residents are eligible and encouraged to apply.  The Zoning Commission helps guide land use decisions and reviews plans for new developments and development modifications.  The Board of Zoning Appeals reviews applications for special consideration when development is unable to align with established regulations.

The Zoning Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals meet on average once each month in the evening at the Township Administration Building.  The meetings encourage neighborhood participation in the decision making process with the overall goal of improving the quality of life in Colerain.  No experience is necessary to apply.

Position Title:              Seasonal Workers
Department:                Public Services (Parks Division)
Supervisor:                  Director of Public Services

Position Requirements:             Colerain Township Public Services Department (Parks Division) in Hamilton County, OH is seeking applicants for part-time Seasonal Workers.  The successful applicants will have experience and qualifications in the various types of work and use of related equipment within the Parks Division.  Including but not limited to, routine maintenance duties, mowing, weed eating, mulching, ball field maintenance, restroom cleaning, trash removal, and other duties as assigned.  Possess the ability to interact and communicate with the public, be able to work outside in all weather conditions, lift at least 60 lbs., work alone and with others as well as work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license including a good driving record, pass a background check and drug screening.
