In March of 2006, the Colerain Township Parks & Services Department opened a disc golf course at Heritage Park. Many people have been out to enjoy this fun recreational offering in Colerain Township!
The course offers a full 18 holes that can be enjoyed by players of all skill levels. For the serious disc golf enthusiasts, the course is great for working on accuracy. The openness allows you to actually observe the flight characteristics of your disc. The holes in the woods offer unique challenges and can help you work on your tight shots. There are several right-hand throws to the basket and if played correctly, the out-of-bounds areas offer good challenges.
It will be fun to watch as the trees and grass grow up, changing the course dynamics over time. It’s a great addition to our park system offerings and a wonderful use of the land– we can offer a fun recreational sport without detracting from the natural beauty of this open park.
