Our K9 team began patrolling the schools and streets of Colerain Township in May 2015. Officer Brian Huntington and Kudo are a specially trained team with a mission to enhance security in our schools and Mall, while providing patrol dog services to our police officers.
Kudo was trained to be "sociable" around children in order to allow him the ability to be in the schools. In addition to his 2-year training in school protection, Kudo and Brian received another 14 weeks of K9 training from the Cincinnati Police Department. There, Kudo learned to track suspects, find drugs and weapons and many other skills necessary to provide service to the Township.
Kudo and Brian hold many public demonstrations and are asked to present in front of many civic groups throughout the Township.
