The Colerain Township Fire Recruit Program will begin accepting names and contact information for those interested in enrollment, from July 1st to August 1st (year prior to program period). Below is a brief description of the program and only general information is provided. An informational session will be held for a more in-depth overview of the program for candidates seeking to enroll. Please email contact information to the Training Division on, or after July 1st, if you are interested in attending the informational session:
The Fire Recruit Program runs from January to November. Classes meet two weekdays in the evening, and almost every Saturday from 8 am to 5 pm. Candidates must be at least 18 years-old and have a high school diploma or GED (or equivalent) to apply. The recruit process is designed to be competitive in nature, in an effort to obtain the top candidates for enrollment. Students that successfully graduate the recruit program will be certified as an Emergency Medical Technician - Basic, and Professional Firefighter Level II. Recruits that successfully meet all conditions and qualify, may be given an offer of employment based on shift demands and availability.
