Calling 911

Not everyone will need 911 or to be hospitalized, please follow these steps if you need medical assistance.


If you are in need of an ambulance for A LIFE THREATENING EMERGENCY Please call 911 IMMEDIATELY

If you are experiencing MILD symptoms (Cough, Shortness of breath AND fever) please follow these instructions:

  • Call you family doctor, physician assistant, medical provider or nurse practitioner for further guidance.

    • You CANNOT be tested without a doctor’s order

  • If you do not have a family medical provider as above, please call local urgent care clinics or the Ohio Department of Health hotline at 1-833-4-ASK-ODH

If you are having severe symptoms of cough, shortness of breath and high fever, please call 911

  • If possible, please meet the EMS personnel by the street or have a family member meet them

  • Make sure to tell the providers that yo think you might have an exposure to COVID-19

  • Be prepared that the EMS crews may be wearing additional personal protective equipment that you may not normally see them wearing
